How did the character Tattoos die?

Gino kicks Tattoos in the chest/stomach and he falls backwards into a brick wall where he slides down to the ground.

If he just hit his head on the wall he would perhaps have been knocked out, but his eyes are open and blood is flowing from his mouth (?) as Gino walks past him, which indicates that Tattoos is dead.

Did something else happen in this short sequence that may have been cut from the film? I can't think of any action on Gino's part that would justify a cut, since the film is already showing many violent scenes (guy getting leg blown off with a shotgun, guy being shot in the throat at point blank range, for example).

Maybe Tattoos just cracked his skull on the brick wall, huh?

Well we don't know for certain that he died, maybe he was just knocked out.

SURE, buddy. But the thing is, I've fallen backwards and hit my head on a brick wall at least twice and I didn't die by any of those blows. But of course there is a theoretical chance that one might die from a head to brick wall collision.

Lord Seagal kicked the life out of him. One kick from the ponytailed one is more than enough.Mmmm, big sexy with glasses!

you notice there's a few weird things with that sequence. Look at the shot right before Tattoo says his infamous "F you, Cop!" and you'll see that the footage seems to be in reverse-time. Instead of standing up, Tattoo sort of pops up immediately like he fell down but they ran the footage in reverse to make it look like he stood up. It's really weird and awkward once you notice it. Clearly a lot was changed in the editing.

But either way, it's hilarious to think that Seagal can end life with one casual kick to the gut. The mumbly gurgly sounds that Tattoo makes while plummeting to the ground help sell it.

His head hit the wall with a loud crack. I'd say that is what killed him.
