What is the field made from ?
The football field they played on wasn't grass or astroturf. It sounded like they were running on plywood.

Remember when the coach says something like "If this wasn't astroturf, I'd bury myself a grave!!" or something like that. It was astroturf, just not very good turf.
And get ready for Tennis! It comes on at 10.
That's what old Astro turf was like. It was awful. Aside from it being a harder surface than natural grass or today's field turf, you'd get turf burn whenever you went to the ground. I hated when I would go to a football camp and they had Astro turf.
