'black russian'?

When Frank is at The Blue Note and he tells the waiter to bring him a black russian, why does the waiter turn to the camera and shake his head? Is it b/c a black russian isn't a strong drink like Frank asked for, or some reference to the bodybuilder the waiter first brought, ie, the waiter thought Frank was literally asking a black Russian man?

It was a reference to the bodybuilder. The waiter turned to the camera as if to think I can't bring him a "Black Russian"

A black russian is a drink with Vodka in , so could be classed as strong.

However the waiter shakes his head as after the "Bring me the strongest thing you have" gag, it would be an obvious joke to bring on a black guy with a russian hat on. Therefore the joke is the waiter identifying thats too obvious.

I think its good that they didnt literally bring on a Black Russian, the joke would have been to obvious like you said and not funny

After all...I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her

Yes, that is the joke. He is sort of saying to the audience, "No, we're not going there. Bet you thought we were, huh?"
