Better movie as the adults...

I liked the Aykroyd/Curtis relationship.

I liked the period piece.

It was a fun (at the time) with Culkin (sp) Home Alone kid starring.

But this was actually a very decent film. The music is good. The coming-of-age tale is nicely told. There's no major great revelation or shocking ending.

I still have yet to see the sequel. It's actually surprising there was one.

Well the first film was pretty successful so if course the studios wanted to make more money. I'm pretty sure I saw the sequel, but the fact that I'm only PRETTY sure might be an indication that it was rather forgettable.

I thought Jamie Lee Curtis became too much of a motherly figure way too quickly, that was my only real complaint but I mean her and Aykroyd were getting married by the end of the film so I guess things worked, just some of her scenes were a little too sappy.
