Vada getting locked in the basement
Does it annoy anyone else when Shelly asks Vada what's wrong? A little girl was locked in the basement with a corpse, what the hell do you think is wrong!??!?

shareI noticed in the second film, she completely overcame her fear of all that stuff, even though the basement wasn't shown in the second one.
shareShelly was still pretty new to the business/house/family and might not have realized Vada's fear of dead bodies. She might have assumed that because Vada grew up around them, always having them in the house (not to mention how knowledgeable about death and disease Vada was), that Vada wasn't bothered by the bodies.
shareShe asked what happend, not what was wrong. Get the fact in order
shareHonestly that probably would have been something I asked her, too. When people are freaking out, "what's wrong?" is usually a question people ask.
shareThey are in a funeral home after all.
shareShelly didn’t have much experience with children and she didn’t know Vada very well at the time.
