I don't think that they should get an average sized ten year old to play an 11 and a half year old.

Uhh, Edward Furlong was 12 playing John Connor (was was 10) in Terminator 2 lol

i dont think people really care if the actor / actress is older then the actual character lol.

I don't know man, I looked like that when I was 11. And just because she gets her period in the movie, doesn't mean she becomes a fully mature adult at that point...takes a few years.
