I hate the music
used in the film, who else agrees?
shareI love the music. I love oldies.
I belong to Jesus: my Lord, Savior, my eternity, my everything. I love you, Jesus!
too old for me..
Stay away from American Graffiti then. It's wall-to-wall classic Americana music. How could you honestly dislike that music??

because its...too old.....
shareI'm curious to know what music you consider good. Disliking music only because it's from another era is the stupidest reason ever-- do you hate movies not made in the last 20 years as well? Today's music will be considered "too old" someday. Are ya gonna hate it when that time comes? I'm in my 20s but the music from yesteryear (particularly 50s Americana music) is amazing because it's timeless. Is jazz, classic rock, classical music too old as well?
Just watch a couple short scenes from American Graffiti with its iconic soundtrack and tell me this music sucks:
Chuck Berry, Johnny B. Goode

The Monotones, The Book of Love

Del Shannon, Runaway

Del Shannon, Runaway, and Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers, Why Do Fools Fall in Love

If these suck, then your taste is certainly in question.

@ edlitz36 i sent you a PM sir
shareI loved the music. Owned the soundtrack on cassette tape when it was released in '91, played it out until it didn't work anymore, bought the CD years later, played it out as well, found another copy in great condition from a used music store and still play it on a hot summers day with the windows open :-)
shareI would have preferred artists such as Led Zeppelin but I understand why they chose the music they did.
shareThe 1970's had great music. Come to think of it, I'll need to get the soundtrack on CD when I get the chance. Also, is there a soundtrack album for the sequel too?
