Was this film aimed more at Females or Males?
I'm a 28 year old male and I'm not ashamed to admit I love this movie. I recently just bought it on DVD for $5. It was one of my childhood favorites.

shareI don't think it matters really, cute family film. My brother is 28 and likes this movie. We grew up with it.
shareI don't think it's aimed for specific people, I think anyone can watch it. I'm a 22 year old guy and I even enjoyed watching this movie and the second one when I was a kid and I still enjoy watching them now

It was definitely aimed for families.
shareSee if they wanted to make a family film they wouldn’t have thrown in all of the sexual references, drug references, usages of the word “shit” and the period scene. True in today’s day and age that isn’t something anyone over 11 can’t handle but again if you want to make a family film you aren’t going to have consistent profanity.
Also as I said in a previous thread while the plot of the film is easy to follow the characters emotions are not always spelled out clearly for the audience to understand and will probably go over the heads of young children. Again if you want to make a family film you don’t want it to bore children. It’s actually a lot deeper than people give it credit for.
