Were Abby and Marie related?
I might of misunderstood the conversation between Abby(Dani's mom) and Marie (Courts' Mom)but are they sister? Or Childhood friends?

I believe they were childhood friends. Otherwise, I honestly do not think the father would allow his daughter to have a relationship with Court if they were related.

In most states it's illegal to marry first cousins, but any relationship more distant is OK. And really there's no biological reason not to allow cousins. Truth be told, almost every family has an example of cousins marrying, somewhere back in the family tree. The only danger of "inbreeding" comes when there's a lot of it in a small population.
