I'm looking for this music, you know, the one played in the Admiral's first scene when he arrives by plane. It's a military march I've heard in other movies, but I can't find it (I believe it's not in the CD soundtrack). Does anyone know the title?

I don't know if the Soundtrack listing was complete back in 2005, when this question was first asked; but it certainly appears now.
It is "The National Emblem March," one of the best-known of military marches which wasn't written by Sousa. It is the March's second theme which appears in this movie.

Other appearances of the March: in Stripes (1981), included at the end of Protocol (1984), and the third theme was part of the band medley rehearsal for candidate George Hammond near the end of The Parallax View (1974).
