It was such a big movie but not quite as BIG as anticipated.
And it appears to have completely been forgotten and lost in never, never land.
Despite the great score and sets and some great performances by Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams.
Forgotten by who? Being both a speilberg movie and Robin Williams movie, I'm sure it still gets lots of interest.
But it is 30 plus years old now, so why would people still be discussing it?
Spielberg admits he can’t make comedies, and Hook is supposed to be a comedy-fantasy. It’s a 2.5 hour slog, has very few laughs and no real stakes.
It has some decent moments but the ‘ride’ isn’t anything special. He fixed that soon after with Jurassic Park.
