What do the dream sequences mean in the movie. Mack's is pretty simple to interpret...but what does Claire's mean?
shareHer dream implies that she knows she is loosing both her son and her husband. Her son is becoming older and she knows he is soon to be going his own way, while her husband (Kline) is having an affair with his secretary (although she does not know this as fact she might suspect it).
So, that's why she sees herself in the dream as running to the train station trying to avoid being left behind by both her son and husband.
Thus, the baby is the new discovery in her life, the one she can expect not to leave her.
