The moral of the movie.

Don't stress. Take life in your stride. Be polite to others.

Think of others and not just yourself. Be grateful for what you have.

When somebody smashes through your driver-side window and the police officer comes to your aid, don't forget to engage the brake pedal immediately so you don't role forward and potential cause the cop to hit his head on the frame of your door.

When you move to a new apartment make sure to memorize your address before you go for a jog.

If you give your son a ethnic first name it might cause temporary anxiety to his future girlfriends parents if they hear his name before they are introduced in person to him.

I love the movie but got little from it. All the characters spend almost 2 hours of bitching and moaning about how terrible the world is...and then we get happy endings all around! It's totally at odds with the rest of the movie and I didn't believe any of the resolutions (except for Steve Martins').
