If you enjoyed Mary-Louise Parker's performance in "Grand Canyon", I highly recommend you see her in Showtime's "Weeds" tv drama/comedy.

I've enjoyed Mary Louise Parker for quite a while, probably since I first saw her in a film. I believe "Fried Green Tomatoes" was one of the first. I had a problem remembering her name for a while; those three namers tend to confuse me,and having Mary Stuart Masterson as her co-star probably added to the confusion, lol! I don't remember seeing her in anything where I wasn't impressed. I thought she was amazing in "Angels in America", which must have been a challenging role, where the dialog was so more in a prose style, like the play. I LOVE her on "WEEDS" she has a very interesting face, and those priceless expressions, the develish grins. She is definately a favorite!

Agreed. For some reason I never really gave her much notice until I saw Weeds.
Now I think she's great. I hadn't seen this movie in about 10 years before I saw
it last night. I had forgotten she was in it. She looked really young.

there was a lot about this movie i'd forgotten (having also not seen it in a long time): i had definitely forgotten she was in it, too.
"weeds" is one of my favourite programs. i've developed a great deal of respect for m.l. parker's talents - as well admiration of her as one of loveliest actresses working today - since seeing her in "weeds." for some reason, never really noticed her before that.

She looked so nutty in this movie. I thought there's no way in real life the cute cop would have given that wacked out looking chick a second glance.

Most guys can over-look a lot (in the beginning), if they figure that they have a chance with a decent looking girl.

I thought Mary-Louise Parker looked gorgeous in this film, and I had a real crush on her when I first saw the ensemble cast posters of 'Grand Canyon' back in 1991.

And since I'm pretty nutty myself her 'nuttiness' here would probably have been a turn-on for me rather than a turn-off. Besides, she wasn't really crazy, just neurotic and heartbroken.
