The intentions of this movie were completely innocent and void of these ridiculous notions of present day scandals.

Just a simple southern family story about loyalty among females.

Someone never read the book, or the movie's Trivia page! ??? "Rivisionist" my ass! The director purposely erased the lesbian context of the book, and thought throwing in the food fight scene was a good enough nod to placate people.
