What did Parry teach in that collage?

Was it English Literature? 'Cause my promoter claims it was History...

And maybe someone know what the whole little of Parry's paperwork on the story of The Fisher King was? (Jack holds it while looking through Parry's stuff hidden by the householder, but I can't remember...)

Thanks for any help!

Right now I can't remember if it's ever mentioned in the film, but history or English literature seems reasonable.

I watched again carefully with this question in mind, and I'm now quite certain the film never explicitly says or indicates either History or Literature. All it tells us (and even that by implication) is that Henry's teaching brought him into intimate contact with Arthurian legends.

I believe (I'm relying on my memory because I haven't got the DVD at the moment) the full title of the paper he wrote was "The Fisher King: A Parable for Modern Man".

When the guy who let Parry live in the basement showed Jack all his pre-shooting stuff, a Bachelor of Arts diploma is shown.

Parry was a medieval history professor who, of course, taught Grail mythology.

He taught how to spell college. ;)

I didn't see Parry in any collage.
