Wow, he is soooo the anti-Dude in this picture.

True... But by the end when he finally let go of his ego he could have ended up growing older into the Dude. Notice Jack wears the same shirt at one point as the Dude? its because thats actually one of Jeff Bridges shirts that he wears at home, and he wore it in both movies.

Hes gotta be one of my favorite actors. I wached this last night and died laughing. I watched this when I was younger and didn't care much for the story but just laughed at all the crazyness. But now being older I can really appreciate the irony and realness of this movie.

I think my favorite scene is where jack goes into the psycho ward to see Perry comatosed, and Jack has a 1 way conversation with him for 10 minutes and he goes from asking how hes doing, to pitying him, to complaining to him, pouring his heart out, to accusing him and insulting him, then he walks off, turns around, comes back and completely lets go. Then he decides to try to help Perry because he wants to, not out of guilt. You'd swear Perry was talking back to him to whole time.

So the fool became the teacher, and in the end it changed Jacks life.

Its a good message that I think people overlook, same like Groundhog day.
He lives out every day doing what he wants and he never finds happyness, until he finally tries going the other way and he TRULY finds happyness when he becomes completely selfless and helps everyone he can.

Yes he's very Un-Dude but Parry could easily be Walter's psychotic brother.
