Did anyone else notice this? George was explaining to Matthew how they were supposed to walk during the wedding. He said let's see, it's Right...together....left....together. But then right before the wedding starts he tells Matthew not to forget it is left...together....right....together and Matthew says don't worry about it I've got it written and on his hand it says left together right together. However, when people actually walked down the isle NOBODY not the bride or Matthew or the mother of the bride or the bridesmaids walked right or left together, they just walked normal! I know it is small and picky but since I've noticed it, it drives me crazy every time.
This is a movie not brain surgery! And,while I enjoy perfection during my brain surgery, I don't get hung up on the min'ute details of a delightful family picture, meant only to entertain not aggravate someone with serious OCD issues, like the complainer to whom I suggest, they no longer watch any movies because the all have mistakes in them, as does life!! To those who think everyone is picking on poor George, I am confused? Other than parking cars, where the F^%$ was he for the four hours of the reception? Making his wife responsible for him seeing every important moment at the reception is as sexiest as their remarks about wealth and everyone's behavior except George's. Who, by the way, was the only one worried about money and feeling "less-than" because he didn't have as much as the McKenzies? Didn't he own a shoe company that was successful? Didn't he drive a sports cars that is costly and a bummer on the environment, get his hair dyed because he felt insecure, etc., etc.,This was the character the writers wrote and Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, et.,al. played beautifully. I watch this movie as my dream for how I wished my kids wedding and marriage turned out. They didn't, but it nice to escape through the fantasy of Hollywood movies, for awhile!
For someone who supposedly has the "it's just a movie" point of view, you sure go on and on. Probably one of the most involved rants I've seen for this film in a while.
Oh, and just as a side note, the "sports car" in the movie can be picked up on today's used market in good condition for under 10 grand. It's not like he's floating around in a car that has real collectors' value.
