To use a word from your generation

When Brian uses the word "heavy" and then says "to use a word from your generation", that is such a dick thing to say to someone. Throughout the movie he is portrayed as this overly nice and considerate person but then he says something like that. That's the one thing that really bugged me about that character.

Dragonzord! Mastodon! Pterodactyl! Triceratops! Saber Toothed Tiger! Tyrannosaurus!

I don't think it was intentional. It seemed to me that Brian was struggling to find a way to really relate to a very unreasonable man. It's very hard to please someone who's perfectly happy being miserable.

Hey! You're not old enough to drink! Now go and die for your country!!!
