Haven't seen it in years...

Ever watch a movie that you haven't seen in years, that you used to watch ALL the time as a kid - so you still remember the lines and scenes of the movie as you watch it? That's what I did yesterday while watching this. I watched it a lot as a kid (frankly the troll scared the crap outta me - but I loved it).

I remember always laughing at the part towards the end when the troll runs up to Ernest while he's getting in his truck, but runs into the truck door as Ernest opens it - and he doesn't even realize he just hit the troll.

And I remember loving the multiple personalities of Ernest. The women are the funniest I think.

"Hairspray will fix anything."

What a kook.

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid, but I remember liking it a lot. I'll have to try to get my hands on a copy. Most of my favorite movies are the ones I watched a lot as a kid.

there was an Ernest marathon on once when I was kid that had this one, Ernest Saves Christmas,Ernest Goes to Jail and Ernest Goes to Camp and I taped them so I watched all those a lot when I was a kid. My favorite was Ernest Scared Stupid...

those trolls used to scare the piss out of me

I realize this is 5 years late but who gives... I must say you were one of the luckier ones because you taped Ernest goes to Jail from television which contains a lot of scenes not found on the vhs or dvd release.

The scene where the kid rolls over in bed and the troll is there scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, but I still watched it once a week at least.

Sometimes, there just ain't enough rocks.

I remember watching this as a child, like 4-5 years old and it scared the living hell out of me. Had nightmares and such. However I had no idea what was the name of the movie or did it even excist for a good 15 years until I by an honest mistake came across it. Now I'm about to watch it again but maybe I shouldn't. I wouldn't like to be dissapointed... But I have to take a look =)

i first remember seeing this when i was in first//second grade..
and it TRAUMATIZED me!!

when the boy is slipping down the ditch and the troll grabs his hand. =/
and the little girl on her bed.. gave me nightmares.

and i STILL have a phobia of knocking on trees or anything for that matter three times.. it just stuck with me.

when i was little i thought ernest was kind of boring because of his monologues.. but now i love him..
