The Flight of the Wooden Dancer and Veronique (book vs film)

While reading Manjoo's book The Flight of the Wooden Dancer (2009) I was stylistically reminded of Kieslowski's The Double Life of Veronique. On the official site http://www.yusufmanjoo.com/?p=481 there's a literal homage to the film which discusses various interesting theories about the meaning of The Double Life of Veronique, including a scene with a Kieslowski retrospective. The Flight of the Wooden Dancer is fiction but it's also an indepth account of the origins and the reality vs fantasy of Kielowski and Manjoo's themes. I think the book explores and answers Alexander Fabbri's question: Is it possible? Yes.

Thank you so much for letting us know! This is indeed very interesting and I will read the book as well. I love seeing Kieslowski's work inspire others and so this will surely be a pleasurable read.
