The lady who was covering for Swell, doing the QED report and such, said she applied but her resume wasn't good enough to get the job that Sue Ellen got, but they were going to move Carolyn, who was just the receptionist, into that role?

Carolyn might have been there longer. The lady did not say how many years she was there. We never learn how long Carolyn has been there. Except she is eager to do something else. We also never learn the two employee's education level/prior training.
