I have an irrational phobia due to childhood trauma...

...guess I'm going to hell (or Los Angeles, rather), according to this movie, huh?

reply

Actually it was neither Hell nor Heaven.

He's taking the knife out of the Cheese!
Do you think he wants some cheese?

reply

Yeah, you just went back to Earth (purgatory I guess).

reply

Yeah, the Los Angeles crack referred to that. A lot of people consider "Hell A" to be a pretty terrible place, although I would argue it's only a cultural and spiritual void. The weather's actually quite tolerable.

reply

I don't think so...
The whole "trial" is about making choices based on fear or courage. And if you had a trauma, you can't really make a choice, you are traumatized about something. So as far as the episode's connected with your trauma, no one should or could blame you for the choices you've made. So no hell for ya!

Ps: I use 57% of my brain. ;-)

Yeah, sorry dude. Have fun staying on earth.

The film makes it very clear that there is no Hell.

Also, you're not judged based on just one aspect of your fear but in the OVERALL way you've lived your life. Having, for instance, a phobia of water, isn't necessarily going to impact every choice you make in your life. My guess is that it would be your defender's job to illustrate how well you lived your life beyond that one fear.
