The guy who played the deer hunter who Brooks meets in the Sushi restaurant. Great timing and delivery playing a straightforward everyman. Watch it again, check out his mannerisms. He's really good.
I agree. Good character actors are the unsung heroes of the movies. They give a movie an added dimension. Hack filmmakers, or inexperienced ones, use just anybody, like their friends, acquaintances, and ordinary people off the street. That's one reason why I hate most Indie low-budget films, and don't go to film festivals much anymore.
