As a football player you'd never got to see Ricky hanging out with his football teammates.

I wonder how well Ricky got along with his football teammates? I feel like he had more in common with Tre than his football teammates.

Usually most football players hang out with their teammates instead of their neighborhood friends.

It is a bit unusual, but not complete unheard of. I had a couple friends who were Huge into track and another lacrosse but they never really hung with their teammates just practice and for a bit after practice.
