Raking

Does anyone else notice in the beginning of the movie that Furious has no trees but a yard full of leafs? The rest of the neighborhood has palm trees/other trees full of leafs and green grass? Did he just go to Home Depot and buy bags of leafs to teach Tre a lesson?

I did think that was funny. It goes to a wide shot of Tre finishing up the yard, and there's no tree in "leafing" distance.

I also don't remember anyone owning a rake in my ten years living in that region. But I guess the point was made. Tre's gonna live a life of chores.

Lady, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the store.

Actually it is funny you say this, because in the opening scene just as Trey's mom is backing out of Furious' driveway and Furious is raking his lawn...you do see a tree in the foreground and a leaf falls right in front of the camera, and as the camera pans to the other side of the street when Trey is talking to little Doughboy, you see huge leafy trees right across the street....but yeah definitely not Furious' tree making all that mess, since he has none.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Yeah, prevailing breezes can do that sort of thing in any street where there aren't a huge number of fences.🐭

If you watch Don't Be a Menace To South Central, they actually make fun of this very thing!
