Furious indicates at one point he was interested in Brenda, or perhaps even dated her. Imagine if that had taken off and they'd gotten married. Ricky and Doughboy would've had a strong father figure--perhaps Ricky wouldn't have gotten Shanice pregnant, Doughboy would've had someone worth emulating, Furious might've gotten Brenda to act more maternally toward Doughboy.

This whole movie just breaks my heart.

Furious and Reva weren't together when Tre was younger. I don't know if they were ever married, but they were certainly not married or together when Reva took Tre to live with Furious.

I think what the OP meant was if Furious had dated Brenda at any point.
