I always thought that was funny but sad at the same time whenever he would talk to Chucky through the puppets, it shows how crazy Charles is, like in the episode when Chucky had a guardian angel and saw his dad talk to the puppets and didn't have Chucky around to talk to, it shows how truly sad he was.
I felt sorry for Chaz in the first seasons because he seemed so sad and lonely. Chuckie mentioned him always saying to him 'I just know the boss is going to fire me today'. And also the beginning of the episode where they become rich, when the roof is leaking and Chaz says something to Chuckie like "I don't think we're going to have enough money to visit Grandma and Grandpa this year, Chuckie. There's been some problems at my work."
He seemed like someone who was really struggling to make it as a single dad, after his wife's death, and had a low-self esteem.
I have Aspergers Syndrome, which is a type of autism. I watched Rugrats as a child and recently watched it again. I am 32 years old. Being older now, I noticed some things that I never noticed when I was a child. I think that Chuckie has Aspergers Syndrome. His character shows signs it, and maybe Chaz has it too?. I looked this up on google, and other people had also been saying talking about that. I thought that Chuckie was just scared and Chaz was just depressed when I was a child, but when you know nor about mental illness and disabilities when you get older, you notice it.
Don't think so. He was just meant to be neurotic. Germain figured that was why he was divorced, but they didn't want to open up the can of worms of making him divorced because then Nickelodeon would start whining.
