What do you think 'killed' Rugrats?

I mean it went from being the most popular show on Nickelodeon in 1998 to being off the air a few years thereafter. SpongeBob SquarePants has been on Nickelodeon since 1999 and it is showing no signs of going out of style anytime soon.

In my opinion, Rugrats just wasn't the same after it was brought back in 1997. It seemed more like a 'kiddie show' rather than having some of the adult humor the 1991-1994 episodes had. It was like a different show that had lost its charm. When they added Dil I think that just made it 10x worse. I liked Kimi but by the time she came along, Rugrats had lost it's magic.

Dil and Kimi. I never really liked either of them. Chaz was perfect unmarried. Lol

This is really lame trolling. Just saying the exact opposite of the truth takes no creativity whatsoever.

Absolutely nobody on the face of the Earth thinks that, no matter how stupid they are. It's like saying you think Napoleon Dynamite is a better basketball player than Michael Jordan in his prime. Just incredibly lazy trolling.

The nail in the coffin for me was Chuckie's voice change. I refused to watch once Nancy Cartwright took over, but now watching it on The Splat I realize it had gone downhill before then. The episodes weren't as good when the writing staff changed, as others have already said, and neither Dill or Kimmy added anything new to the show. Kimmy was just Tommy 2.0 and Dill was annoying. I also agree with a couple of people who said that even though the episodes went downhill, the first two movies managed to be pretty good.

Only new thing I'd have to add is that once the Kimmy episodes hit, the writing just got reeeeally lazy. Every episode was freaking out over some cliche thing the adults said, like the "cat got your tongue" episode, or "these shoes have gotta go", etc. All the creativeness was gone.

The movies ruined it and the voice acting being changed around practically destroyed the show in my book. Oh, and Dil.
