Reference to Herman's Head on The Simpsons

Lisa (Yeardly Smith) was laughing about a prank she could pull on Bart (Nancy Cartright)
Marge:What are you laughing at?
Lisa:Aw, nothin', just thinkin' of a joke I heard on Herman's Head.

That's Cool!

Herman's Head returned the favor when Louise (Smith) asks Herman, "I don't sound like Lisa Simpson, do I?"

Don't forget the reference comic book guy mentions:

Marge: Will you sign this petition?

Comic Book Guy: "The only petitions I sign are to bring back canceled sitcoms. The world needs the wisdom of Herman's Head now more than ever".

Also, in the episode "Diatribe of a Mad Housewife," there is a subtle reference to "Herman's Head" when four characters in Lisa's head (Jealousy, Honesty, Conscience, and Libido) help her try to figure out how to respond to news that Marge wrote a novel.

What's interesting is that the two shows never shared a night together (during that time, Simpsons was on Thursdays, Herman's Head on Sundays with MWC), didn't share any writers or producers, just a network and two cast members. Yet just because Yeardley was on it (one of very, very, very few notable things outside the Simpsons that she ever did), they still love to throw references to it pertaining to Lisa, long after it went into obscurity. (thanks to a lack of a syndication deal)
