f'ed up ending of all-time for a sitcom (that's what I considered it anyways)? Pretty much killing off the entire world. That's some heavy crap especially with so many kids that watched it. Just seems like a lot for kids to take in. If it was just for adults, it would have been something different. It's happening right now for us but ending the show in that way had to traumatize a lot of kids. Not sure if it would have been worse or not to just have an asteroid hit and kill them all.

Asteroid wouldn't work, this was a social commentary, they themselves put the wheels in motion to destroy the world, as mankind is very capable of doing.

I remember watching the series finale when it first aired (I was 9 years old at the time) and I cried for at least an hour. It was devastating but so well done. I still tear up when I watch it.
