I don't get why this movie has 7.1 rating. A very average flick. 5/10.

shareI really, really like this movie! I consider it the best monster movie of the 1990s!
It's a fun movie, and the filmmakers had some real fun with the standard monster-movie tropes, the characters were very likeable and not the sort of people you usually find in movies, and there were both some good laughs and some real scares. Plus, the movie won me over by letting some of the odd characters who'd ordinarily end up as monster dinners survive, or even end up saving the day. It struck me as an unusually good-natured way to end a monster movie, usually nobody's left alive but the attractive hero and an attractive young woman, but in "Tremors" a whole lot of people lived, and they were cheerfully saying "Welp, I guess we don't get to make fun of _____'s lifestyle any more", all friends after what they'd been through. It was so much nicer to see these people being proud of each other, than to see the usual final kiss between the two best-looking survivors.
Only 7.1, should be 10
