I just need to start a new post, I need to claim my love for a great f#cking actor out there: GARY OLDMAN! What a man! I feel a little bit embarrased that I discovered this man for only one month ago. *beep* that, I'm just so damn happy that I did and has the ability to study this phenomenal actor, he is such an inspiration!

You're in a minority, you do know, right? May be a vocal minority, but a minority nonetheless. The guy's full of himself and usually quite a bore. Not one movie with him in it that I can recommend strongly to my friends. If there are some, they're recommendable because of other actors in it. Sorry.

shanx is surely goading us friends. He can't possibly know anything about acting if he thinks Gary Oldman is not one of-if not THE best in the world of acting.
Sean Penn wasn't great-great here but definitely did much much better work later on but he's still good. This film is Gary's, no contest. He's electrifying in this. He acts a lot of actors off the screen.

I agree Shanx must be on a wind up. I think Gary Oldman was superb in Dark Knight and if it wasn't for the Heath Ledger performance he might have had some award nominations for best supproting actor.
