Great, but a remake would be incredible?

The special effects, stunts and action could be equalled, if not made into a better film, despite Oldman and Penn's great acting.

I'm thinking a blend of The Departed and Crash? Either Irish or US accents?

Colin Farrell as Terry Noonan?
Liam Neeson as Frankie?
Brendan Gleeson as Pat?

Can't find the words to express how VENOMOUSLY I disagree with you!

'Hey, we found an amazingly brilliant film.........let's remake it!'

Doh! Pointless, utterly pointless. Be happy with the original, eh?

Why not just make an original film based on the true life Westies? If the Italians can get so many great mob movies, surely the Westies can inspire at least a few more.

I'm with Boogie_Knight.

Also who could replace Gary Oldman? I just don't see it.

NO. ONE. CAN. REPLACE. GARY. OLDMAN! NO. ONE!!

Agree, but if they must remake this film then they have to get Oldman to play the part of Frankie Flannery.

i am convinced that there is a certained deformity in human DNA that makes some people want to remake classic movies.....there is no cure, no treatment, just gotta live with it.

sad sad sad disease, really.
