Why did Jackie have to kill the two guys in the bar?

They didn't rub it in or anything. They requested Jackie to take a seat and have a drink.

He killed 3 guys..one of them was the guy Frankie said killed Stevie, Jackie's good friend (although Frankie actually killed Stevie). You really didn't get that?

He killed them because they had the ponats to walk into that bar not on their side of town, and because as nice as they were, the nicer they were, the more they came off as douche bags that needed to die. In combination with the heavy drinking, Jackie just did not care, because he really secretly wanted 'out' and knew he would never be able to, which added to his destructive nature. The clue is that before he dies he says he is thinking about getting some time off. Do you really think given the insane nature of his brother, would let him have time off?
