Totally agree. This one had great performances but was ruined by a ridiculous plot. Frankie was the worst boss ever, and it seemed as if he just killed people for no reason at all. In real life if a boss was that stupid (and directly involved) he'd be imprisoned or kill in days. This whole thing was a mess.

Yes, that was the whole point...they clearly explained that the Irish gang was undisciplined, ill-mannered, and not particularly bright, which irritated the well-organized and smooth-running Italian gang.
