Fonda & De Niro, what a pair! Great actors, great acting, a real feel good movie
with no guns, violence, crudity, vulgarity, etc. Is this an American movie? What a pleasant surprise! Interesting subject, and intelligent. Bravo. Ah Fonda... she's so good... She was unforgettable in The Dollmaker: I recommend it highly. And Stanley & Iris too.

And don't forget Feodor Chaliapin Jr. in a bit part as Leonides Cox, Stanley's father. His was a fine performance; simple, understated, authentic, and touching.

He is the same fine character actor who appeared in For Whom The Bell Tolls (1943).
