Does anybody know what the melody/music was that was played in the restaurant where Barley and Katia were dining for the first time? I watch this movie at least twice a year and it never fails to make an impression on me.

Since Armenia was part of Soviet Union from 1918 to the fall in 1992, Armenian music was loved and still is loved by namy former Soviet countries.
The instrument is called DUDUK, it's shortened name, it's an Armenian only instrument that has been part of Armenian history for thousands of years.
