Language

Well, I caught some of this movie on TMC on Friday night. I am no prude, but I was so disappointed to hear such filth in language coming from Sean Connery (whom I happen to really love). It all seemed so unnecessary. It REALLY detracted from the movie as far as I was concerned.

Whoa, you don't get out much, do you?

You seem to be making a common mistake of non-theatrical folk in confusing the performer with the character being played. It was not Connery doing the swearing, it was Barley Blair. The same thing often happens when an actor plays a gay character - the tendency is to assume that the actor must be gay; not usually the case. I think most gay characters are played by straight actors.

If IMDb ever allow sigs longer than 100 chars, the above will immediately be my new sig, it will save so much time (re)explaining things.

Did you ever notice that people who believe in creationism look really un-evolved?

I bet Connery swears like a sailor in real life.

And yet when a gay actor plays a straight character, nobody thinks that he must be straight.
