How did Robocain remember Angie but didn't remember Juliette Faxx?
I don't get that.
shareI guess because he was with her for years (Angie) and may have known her intimately? Whereas, he met Juliette once or twice maybe?
shareInteresting. Perhaps. Dr. Faxx's team put in a directive so that RoboCop2 would not recognize the team that created him? I know if I was the doctor that's what I would have done, to prevent potential blow-back, etc.
shareAs a kid I remember being very scared of the truck scene. He ripped that girls face off right? And that gangster boy, I felt bad for him. That scene was straight up horror movie level
shareYou mean Angie in the warehouse? Yeah, RoboCain grabbed her by the head, and then off camera you hear him doing things. Then, when the camera comes back, he just tosses her aside, and we can't really make out the damage done.
shareI didn't feel bad for the little boy at all. Not one bit. He almost strangled Ann Lewis to death, he wanted Robocop to have a very painful death, and the reason why he wanted to let Cain die was to take over the gang. It wasn't because he wanted justice. It was just to take over the gang. That's why he wanted to let Cain die. I felt not one bit pitty for the little boy.
shareKeep in mind Robocop 1 how the whole movie was him regaining his humanity and memories. I suppose it was similar with Robocain, it simply took time for his memories to come back (they more than likely wiped his memory like Murphy) and as was said earlier Faxx wasn't the deeply ingrained memory that Angie was (though the scene where she shut off his life support did sort of allude to a 'he's gonna get her for that' moment that never happened.
According to the surgeon who extracted Cain's brains there was no damage so it's likely that was a factor in his memories returning so relatively quickly (though the cynical answer is that Cain's humanity wasn't the focus of the movie so it was glossed over.)
