Not as deep as the original but still great entertainment!

Robocop 2 is certainly a much more lighthearted deal then the first film but I still think it's great entertainment on the whole. It retained the seedy feel of the first film and RoboCain was a great bad guy.

It hasn't aged quite as well as the original though. Watching in HD some parts of it look like what I often criticised Batman Forever for (bright neon everywhere) and there is an element of cheese that's certainly much heavier here.

Regardless I can still sit down and have tons of fun with this film. It's serious enough when it needs to be and although it'll never beat the first one it's perfect follow up material and a great slice of the early 90s.

It’s really good despite some pacing issues and oddly abandoned storylines.

The best part is that replaced Lewis’ afro with that 90’s bell-like haircut, and his wife’s afro with a more flattering style.
