His armor
Why was it so "blue" compared to the first movie?

I remember hearing they wanted to make Robo blue in the orignal as well, but Verhoeven decided agienst it. With that said there are DVD releases out there that alter the colour grading to make RoboCop blue in the orignal like he was in RoboCop 2.
shareIn terms of the story, I like to think that the color of his armor was changed during his repairs after the first film. His design in part 2 is my favorite.
Reboot, restart or re-imagining is another word for remake
I read somewhere, years ago, that it was changed as the original silver coloured armour reflected the crew too.often, and the blue one was less reflective. :-)
shareI don't mind the slight blue, makes Robo seem upgraded from his RoboCop 1 appearance. Oddly enough, they go back to the silver for RoboCop 3.
shareMaybe they upgraded it to a stronger alloy since things had gotten 'a little rougher out there' since the first movie.
