Pump Up Soundtrack ...? Missing Songs.

Hiya,

I am hoping someone here can help me track down the missing songs from this movie.

I bought the soundtrack. And the DVD. And I think I am going to make a new soundtrack, incorporating some of Harry's monologues. I would really like to include all the missing songs.

The two Leonard Cohen songs I already have, same with teh songs by Ice T, Was not Was, the Descendents and the Urban Dance Squad.

The Stan Ridgeway song I can find no reference to anywhere on the internet...?
Who is Richard Nail?
Does *anyone* have a copy of Scenario out there? Was it ever released on anything?
I didn't see Stand on either of the Liquid Jesus albums I found...

Can anyone help me out with my mission to track these songs down? CD's or info.. anything really.

Thanks!

Nemir

PS, just to outline the songlisting, here it is. Songs with an * are the ones I am trying to get hold of.

6. Kick Out the Jams - Bad Brains
7. Freedom of Speech - Above the Law
8. Heretic - Soundgarden
9. Titanium Exposé - Sonic Youth
10. Me and the Devil Blues - Cowboy Junkies
11. Tale O' the Twister - Chagall Guevara

Songs that are also credited are:

Love Comes In Spurts - Richard Hell*

It seems it is later than I thought.

I'll need to double check the listings in the credits. Here I am looking for Stand by the Liquid Jesus, and it is one of the ten on soundtrack.

I guess that makes me even more urgent about chasing the other songs.

3 more to go!!!

thanks!

"Love Comes In Spurts" is by Richard Hell and the Voidoids. Find it on the CD Blank Generation.

Talk Hard isn't a song in the same sense as the others. It's the orchestral theme you hear in the film.

The Scenario has never been officially released. However, it's on the "official bootleg" CD Original Ill, along with slightly dirtier versions of the songs on License To Ill.

Interesting (or not) side note: Tale O' The Twister is on the cassette and CD versions of the soundtrack but not the vinyl version.

"Stand" was a cover of an old Sly and the Family Stone song that Liquid Jesus did specifically for this soundtrack. Unless they have a greatest hits album out that has the song, I think this is the only place to find it. I would like to find the Stan Ridgway song, as it is partially played in one scene. Unfortunately, it is not on any of his albums (including his best-of collection).

For the Leonard Cohen songs, they are easily found. "Everybody Knows" is on "I'm Your Man" and "If It Be Your Will" is from "Various Positions".

the Beastie boy song scenario was on a famous bootleg cd called "original ill" it featured soem regular songs from ILL as well as some different/unreleased ones. I own the cd

"Talk Hard" can be heard in a live version on an EP he released in Australia in 1997 called "Film Songs"; this information is from http://idiot-dog.com/music/ridgway.stan/indexs.html
And yes, "Scenario" is available on Original Ill but also well available online. However, a remastered, complete soundtrack is also part of my revamp campaign. (see topic "talk hard forever campaign")

The song "Love comes in spurts" is from:

Richard Hell, not Nail.

He is also known for another great song he did with his accompanying band, the Voidoids: Blank generation
