A movie with a great message.

"Pump Up the Volume" is a real super movie.Christian Slater showed in this film how talented an actor he really is.His character,Happy Harry Hard-on a.k.a. Mark Hunter is awesome,he becomes a hero to all teens at Hubert Humphrey High School, not knowing that he is a hero.

The film does a great job with dealing with life as a teenager and how being a teenager is tough, but I liked when Harry said the "Surving it is the whole piont, quiting won't make you strong, living will".That is what every teen goesd through,I've been there, done that.Harry does make the mistake in not taking a fellow student,Malcolm Keiser's suicide threat seriously, the next day he is dead and Harry feels terrible.

"Pump Up the Volume" is a great film every generation should see, just like "The Breakfast Club".

I can admit that the movie is great entertainment, but some parts of it is just downright terrible; the poor rich popular pretty girl blowing up her kitchen (and going nuts on TV...), the way everybody listens really seriously, the subplot with the "concerned" English teacher, the way Harry seems to understand the mood of all the ultra-serious listeners out there. Man, the kids in this town have got some serious leisure issues. Where are all the "normal" guys doing sports, playing videogames, etc..? All the kids in this movie are kinda whiners... Where are all the people that don't give a damn??

There seems to more wrong going on here than just the principals cynical way of running the highschool.

It's got a cool soundtrack though.

yeah I felt that too, man. but you should know that this movie is to 'EXPRESS' the teenager not to 'DESCRIBE'. what if the movie goes that way? It would be very complicated and wouldnt able to express what the director wanted to show us.
