Question about a song

Hey guys, just a quick question, I can't seem to figure this out on my own, no matter how hard I try, so if any of you out there have an answer, please share it.

I'm looking for the name of a song and have been for the last few weeks, it's in one of the scenes where it's going around to different shots of the campus. The part of the song that plays goes:

"Life is tough, and full of stuff, life is hard as rock"

and it ends with

"We don't need no chaperones, all policemen, please stay home"

Again, any help is much appreciated

It's called "Talk hard" and it was part of the original score for Pump up the Volume. It was written by Stanard Ridgway, I don't know how you'd go about finding it though. Good luck.

I have that song if you want it? I'll email you it. Email me : [email protected]

I really wanted this song too (and early 90's artschool girl Samantha Mathis).

I've only been able to find a live version of the song on iTune's music store. It cost me 99 cent. I'd like the studio version in the movie though.

"Talk Hard" was never released as a studio version. It was released originally on a Australian import cd called "Film Songs" (the live version that appears in this thread and available at Itunes) that was a compilation of his work that he made for various films.
