Sequel

This film. Is one of favourite films, when it first came out i watched film all the time. I just which they wouldnt leave you hanging. I would love sequel find out what happened to Hard Harry.

What I think would happen is he would ten yrs down the line a radio DJ for some big station. More of a journalist uncovering the truth. Hopefully Nora is still in the picture, not just the wife at home but involved somehow.

They could bring you up to date in the first 30 seconds of the film with flash backs of him being arrested then being in court, maybe doing a little time, going to uni then being offered a radio job and having a big following. All of that in little flashes to him being ten yrs older sitting over the mic a packet of black jack in one hand while smoking a fag.

The sequel could be about how professinal radio is boring him and he needs to find the new "thing!"

Thats just what I think.

Anyone else have an idea on a sequel?

Seriously, would "Hard Harry" and Nora ever make it? Would "Hard Harry" ever make it?! A few years on, they'd've gone to different colleges and drifted apart!

i don't think i would want them to make a sequel i loved the movie like loved it

the sequel wouldn't be that good because hes not a teen anymore whats he going to comment on and hes now old not hot it would be kinda creepy actually he must be near forty now

but i don't think he would be with nora maybe somebody even raunchyier *if thats a word*

plus, if the sequel stunk then it might make the first movie a joke and ruin it but they would have to work really hard to ruin the first movie for me

but i am very curious to find otu what happened to him, then again curoisity killed the cat

Exactly, the film is what it is, about teen angst and making a stand, don't ruin it with an "all grown up" sequel. Hard Harry just went on to work in an office or something...

Yeah I've got an idea for a sequel ......... NO SEQUEL!

Dude, there are some movies that simply can't be "sequelled". This is definitly one of them.

Sorry guys looks like no one liked my idea.

Its just that I watched this film the other for the first time in years.

This one of my favourite film's and I just wanted more and kept thinking what happened to Mark?

Did him and Nora make it?

Did they go to prison?

Did he become a radio DJ for real or just do the old 9-5?

So I just wanted a sequel!

You know, in truth...we don't always need answers like that. I mean, sure we'd like them...but they'd trivialize the whole point this movie was trying to make. Think about it. A movie full of ideas of rebellion and the anti-standard isn't going to follow the general film-standards itself...it'd risk being hypocritical. There's no happy ending here...just a hopeful one.

If it was turned into some other crazy adventure of Hard Harry, it'd become a joke...it'd just make everything in that epic struggle that was high school life a complete farce, as we'd see a portrait painted of everything being alright. It'd almost be sitcom-ish.

What I took from the end of this movie was that the future belonged to -everyone-. Not just Hard Harry. His future is irrelevant. It was that point when he let everyone know to shout out and let their voices be heard that his story ended. His role ended. He would be instantly lost among the thousands of fans who had risen up to be his equals.

So decide any future you want for him...the point is that you decide.

"Can you hear this? Do you want me to turn it up?"

It's nice to see someone can see where I'm coming from, this is one of my top all time films!!! I just wanted more. I do agree I see no reason for some sequels to be made. Speed 2 - anyone?
