What do you think was the end result?
What do you think would happened to Slater's character after being arrested? Would he be looking at jail time in light of what was going on at the school?

shareArrested, processed, put in County.
Released on bail.
Indicted at his trial.
Sent to federal prison.
Becomes the bitch for some gym monkey with a nick name like 'Jingles'. All the while regretting that he didn't pork Samantha Mathis when he had the chance. No word on whether or not he and Jingles make prison merlot in the toilet.

Arrested and held but ultimatel found not guilty or put on probation. He was a minor and he never crossed state lines. As a presumed first offense it wouldn't be a big deal either.

If he was under 18: Arrested. Processed. Then fined a five figure number. Most likely his parents would have a federal lien placed on their house.
Over 18: Arrested, Processed. Fined and placed in prison.
under 18, so maybe juvenile hall. His parents have money, so he'd have a good lawyer.
He'd probably get a job in radio. everything will be fine.

I'd have to imagine that with the FCC involved, he would be looking at some serious prison time. Even if he wasn't 18, he was close enough to be tried as an adult. Given that a kid actually comitted suicide, and he insulted the FCC agents, I think the government would blame him for everything and slam his balls to the wall on this one. However, I can see him writing commentaries from prison until he got out, where he would immediately be signed to his own radio talk show (satellite radio was practically made for people like him). I'd be willing to bet he'd be sentenced to 10 years, and serve at least 5 before getting out.
"Good Mid-nite to ya!"
I do not think he would serve time in a juvenile hall or prison. Although the parents of the one student who took his own life tried to scape goat the incident on Mark/Hard Harry he did not pull the trigger nor did he tell him to do it. No jury would have found him responsible for his death. As for the FCC violations, his radio show was after 10pm so there would be no punishment for cursing. As for using his neighbors electricity and such I doubt he would do time.
Most likely he would get probation, do community service and that would be it.
