One of two movies where prostitute women struck big

Pretty Woman is interesting in that that woman who is an escort or prostitute by profession went from being broke to being ultra rich by the end and getting married quite likely and having kids and family and all that.

This is the same as Trading Places where James Lee Curtis' Ophelia also goes from being a cheap prostitute to becoming ultra rich and settling down with a classy guy at the end.

There are some cases like that in reality like Anna Nicole Smith (but that's more like a sugar daddy) but there are likely many others unknown.

Another point to consider is while these women did it as a profession to get paid what about those women who go on dates or have short flings and sleep around but don't get paid? How is that any different than these women?

And then get married and settle down.

Anyways Pretty Woman was more of a chick flick for women to go Awww and dream but honestly no guy would normally do this for most part. Of course exceptions exist.

Didn’t watch it but I will.

Also this movie was more like “Pretty whore. Working on the street. Pretty whore. The kind I like to beat to. Pretty whore”.

And what are we to make of Richard Gere. He’s a powerful acquisition expert destroying companies and going around banging whores. Not even expensive escorts. Just cheap ones on the street.

I mean. They’re not really role models for anything other than debauchery and bad behavior and disloyalty and selling out for a buck.

I mean he really will marry her? And then he’ll be bored of her in a week and then go around picking whores up again. And what will she do? Go right back.

Now that I watched it a few times I’ve begun to immensely dislike the whole concept of the movie.

We are meant to believe that Richard Gere is going through an epiphany in his life, set in motion by the death of his father. If that holds true, we can assume he is a changed man in the context of the movie.
