Hi, just curious as to where the Lebanese parts were shot? I know it was not in Lebanon since me and my family left the country in 89 because of civil unrest and I don't think any movies were being shot during that time for safety and unfortunately, Anti-American sentiment, unless I am mistaken and they did film it there?

The town of Rota, Spain doubled as Beirut, Lebanon. It's across the harbor from Cadiz, Andalucia, Spain on the Spanish southeast coast. You can see all the filming locations noted here -

They also shot quite a bit of the movie in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Richmond, VA. I got to work as a featured Extra in the two Pentagon scenes that were shot at the Capitol Building(which doubled as the Pentagon), in Richmond, VA.
