Actually, Trader Joe's was started in 1967. They were only on the west coast for the longest time. But that shop in the movie would be one of the earlier ones, no doubt.
shareway cool. thx for the info. there's one a couple blocks away i go to for snacks & stuff. i was chitting the chat with a worker & mentioned i was a huge fan of their las playas location. nothing. blank look. they had not seen 'men @ work'. people bemoan the quality of education people receive these days in our nation's school. i'd call this exhibit h!
